USAG
Excellence Gym Sports is a proud member of the USA Gymnastics Association (USAG). Our coaching staff is professional, personal, safety certified and highly qualified. Our emphasis is on correct form, proper technique and precise execution …this results in a stronger base in the sport for all of our competitors. EGS offers both boys and girls USAG teams ranging from Level 2-Elite. Level 2 & 3 gymnasts compete in two competitions per year. Level 5 and 6 gymnasts compete locally and do not attend state competitions. Once a gymnast reaches Level 7, she will compete in local meets and will travel within the state and occasionally outside of Maryland.
Level 8's, 9's and 10's travel locally and may compete outside the state several times each year. International meets are scheduled on alternative years.

Mason Dixon League
EGS is also a member of the Mason Dixon League which offers your child the opportunity to be “gently” introduced into the world of competitive gymnastics. Gymnasts showcase their skills with individual routines. Mason Dixon develops competition skills and etiquitte in a low key environment.
Class students who are interested in competing should inform coach's and administrative staff. When your child has mastered basic skills and has shown growth in strength and flexibility, they will be invited to the team or pre-team (depending on age). Mason Dixon is also a great way to “gently” introduce parents and families to competitive gymnastics.
**Note: When a gymnast becomes part of our competitive teams, families are expected to participate in the Parent Association. The Excellence Gym Sports Parent Association provides support to the team and all of its competitive endeavors.

Gymnasts may choose to compete in either Mason Dixon or USAG, and have the opportunity to change leagues at the end of every season.
